In Florida, notaries are authorized to supervise the copying of certain documents and attest to their trueness. We make it easy and convenient to get a certified copy of your document: 

  • 1 .  Have the original document in your possession.
  • 2 .  Make sure it is one of the documents listed below that can be copied. it cannot be a public record.
  • 3 .  Your notary will come directly to you and supervise the making of a photocopy. They will provide a Notarial Certificate to be attached to the document that attests to the trueness of the copy.

What documents can and can’t be notarized?

Notaries cannot certify a copy of any document that is a public record. Certified copies of those documents are available from another public official. If a certified copy is not available from the issuing source, then your notary can supervise the creation of a certified copy. See below a comprehensive list of documents and whether or not we can notarize a copy.

Can Be Notarized:

  • Florida driver's license
  • Florida vehicle title
  • Social Security card
  • Diploma
  • Medical record
  • U.S. passport
  • Bill of sale
  • Contract
  • Lease
  • Resident alien card
  • Personal letter

Cannot Be Notarized:

  • Birth certificate
  • Marriage certificate
  • Death certificate
  • Certificate of citizenship or naturalization
  • Student records (transcripts, etc.) kept in public education offices
  • Documents recorded by the Clerk of the Court
  • Documents filed in a court proceeding
  • Public records maintained in government offices
  • Federal or state income tax forms that have already been filed
  • Professional licenses issued by the State of Florida
  • Any document for which photocopying is prohibited
  • A photograph

We will confirm before your appointment if you will have a photocopier present for the notarization, or if you will need us to provide a photocopier to you to complete the notarization. An additional $10 Printing & Convenience Fee will be added for any appointments requiring a photocopier.
